Columbia Business School Private Equity Program

Message from Donna M. Hitscherich (’90), Senior Lecturer in Discipline and Director of the Private Equity Program

Dear Friends of the Private Equity Program:

In the third issue of our Newsletter, we are pleased to share with you recent happenings at the Private Equity Program and several exciting upcoming events. But before we fill you in on all the goings on, Greta and I wanted to thank all of you who have reached out to us as we strive to expand the offerings of the Private Equity Program and broaden our reach to the Columbia Business School community.

Our first alumni event for the 2012-2013 academic year will take place on November 27, 2012 at Alston & Bird LLP where we will have a panel discussion and a post-panel networking reception. Please join us on November 27 as we discuss the state of the private equity market, past, present and future.
Please mark your calendars for the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club Conference on February 15, 2013 at Lerner Hall. Now in its 19th year, the Conference regularly attracts over 700 attendees, including private equity professionals, alumni and students, for a day of timely panel discussions and a post-Conference networking reception. I look forward to catching up with you at the Conference and would appreciate it if you would share the Conference date with your friends or colleagues that may have an interest in attending.

After a successful launch last year, the Private Equity Program with the generous sponsorship of Ernst & Young LLP will be holding Deal Camp on December 7-9, 2012 at Gurney's Inn in Montauk. There are a limited number of alumni seats available to attend Deal Camp. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor for Deal Camp, or attending, be sure to read our item below in this Newsletter about Deal Camp, which includes our new video.

Greta and I hope to see you at a Private Equity Program event this fall. In the meantime, if Greta or I can be of any assistance to you or you would like to become more involved in the Private Equity Program, please feel to reach out to us at the contact numbers below.

Kind regards,

Donna M. Hitscherich
